Well, it's taken me some time and get back to the "happy the way I am" and to the "I am not my size nor my weight thank you very much" mind-frame.
Being the lover of all things books and most things internet I googled it. I wanted to find books and websites that promoted a great body image/fat acceptance/I am fine just the way I am/I'm not dieting and you can't make me!

You're right I am not .... not fat .... not skinny ....somewhere in the middle
What my brain sees in the mirror is not reality - it's distorted by years of dieting, of accepting the advertisers and media's lies about who I really am and how if I just lost x amount of weight my life would be a fairy tale. THEY DON'T KNOW ME!
I want my brain, my heart, my soul to know that if I weighed more than I do now - that's that is absolutely 100% fabulously amazingly awesomely wonderfully A OK.
Because ALMOST EVERYTHING out there tells me [and YOU] differently. That we are not ok. That life will begin 5 or 10 or 50 or 100 pounds from now. AND THEY ARE WRONG. Life is RIGHT NOW and it's up to you and I to make our own lives a great adventure.
Wear what you want. Be who you want to be. Take back your life and your body from those who don't even know you and really just want to make a buck off you.

DeleteI, too, was sent here by Scott and I'm disappointed. I had hoped to see more pictures. I'm with joeh. You're pretty damned hot tarted up or not! Actually I think I preferred the "not" photo. Lucky Scott!

DeleteAmen!! I really could stand to lose a pound or fifty (for my health - it's not good for my heart or knees), but you are so right about loving yourself RIGHT NOW. As I mentioned on Scott's post, it's so easy for us to see our imperfections (and if you have a distorted vision of yourself then that has to be all that much harder). We need to work harder and visualizing how the people who love us see us. If we look at ourselves through their eyes what do we see?
