Go Big or Go Home - Kitchen Style
After a many months sabbatical from the kitchen....I finally got tired of eating out of a box. My return to my kitchen this weekend yielded some nice results:
This recipe comes from Allthecooks iPhone app from iTunes.
In all honesty - this piece of beef wasn't even a roast - it ended up being a rolled up flank steak but from the packaging you could not tell it was a rolled up piece of beef. In spite of this - it turned out GREAT!
Ingredients: beef roast, onions, celery, garlic, bacon
This recipe comes from The Cooking Guy: Awesome Recipes and Kitchen Shortcuts from Sam Zien
I used a relatively light colored Sam Adams winter ale vs a medium dark the recipe called for - and by accident at that - I had already opened the bottle by the time I realized I could see through it .... and I really could have let the bread cook for another 5-8 min for a darker crust and more finished inside but Husband loved loved loved it.
This recipe comes from All Recipes Magazine [December/January edition] - this was a test batch for some Christmas gifts - the secret? Cream of Tartar - it gives the cookie the bakery style crack on the top vs a smooth top of most homemade cookies - the secret also came from All Recipes Magazine
